TEMSpec - 4th International workshop on TEM spectroscopy in Material Science
Welcome to the 4th International Workshop on TEM Spectroscopy in Materials Sciences!
The workshop will be held June 17th – 19th , 2019 at the Ångström Laboratory in Uppsala, Sweden.
For more information about the workshop and invited speakers, please see the workshop Flyer.
The registration fee covers the entire workshop and incluldes a workshop dinner.
The workshop is designed for researchers from all branches of the materials sciences who are interested in how the
TEM spectroscopy techniques Energy Dispersive X-Ray (EDX) and Electron Energy-Loss Spectroscopy (EELS) can be
employed in their understanding of the nano and atomic scale. The workshop consists of two days of lectures and a
third day of laboratory demonstrations.
In workshop, we will have talks and discuss how spectral and spectroscopic image resolutions can be pushed to extract
ultimate chemical, electric and structural information from the sample. This effort will be limited by beam damage during
the analysis, in the workshop, we will see presentations on how to understand and limit beam damage.
3D and 4D data sets are easily acquired now and their interpretation need sophisticated data
treatment, which will be treated in the TEMSpec workshop.
For scope of the workshop, please refer to “the 3rd international workshop on TEM spectroscopy”.
