OssDsign is a Swedish medtech company dedicated to creating regenerative implants for improved healing of bone defects. We provide neurosurgeons and reconstructive plastic surgeons around the world with an expanding range of innovative implant solutions for improved patient outcomes.
Role in the project: ESR secondment host and co-supervisors of ESRs 2 (bioactive and osteoinductive fusion designs) and 11 (screw designs adapted to the surrounding bone).
Dr Kajsa Björklund (PhD, Director Technical Operations) received a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from Uppsala University (Sweden) in 2002. Since then she has been working in the medical device industry and has a vast experience from product development of medical devices at both small and large global companies.
Dr Jonas Åberg (PhD, Senior Scientist, 5%FTE) received a PhD in Applied Materials Science from Uppsala University (Sweden) in 2012. He is one of the co-founders of OssDsign and has been working at OssDsign since the company started in 2011. He has deep knowledge in calcium phosphate ceramics and medical device development as well as experience from regulatory processes and intellectual property matters.
