In my Master project I am focusing on fabrication of Zn-Mg-X biodegradable implants using L-PBF additive manufacturing. The aim is to test the printability and characterize a Zn-Mg alloy with varying amounts of Mg to alter the mechanical properties of the alloy, improving its scope of use as a medical alloy.
