Micro- and Nanotechnology I, 5 credits (1TE015)

By using new materials and manufacturing techniques, micromechanical structures and sensors that are integrated in e. g. smartphones, game consols, air bags, and devices for medical analysis can be made. If sensors are the muscles of the micro word, actuators provide the muscles making it possible to move. In this course, theory is mixed with laboratory work and company visits. The main topics are:
